Jyl is a multidisciplinary artist, art therapist, and fundraiser based in Madison, Wisconsin. She specializes in book arts and analog collage. Her books explore unconventional forms and binding techniques. Jyl’s artist books frequently challenge conventional definitions of the book as an object, exploring form, structure, and interaction.  

Through collage, she constructs intricate compositions from meticulously curated paper fragments. Her work is distinguished by its visual depth and material richness, often built from the “teeny tiny paper bits” she’s fond of. All invite viewers into layered, abstract narratives.
