Karen Haker Lindau

Karen is a book artist based in Madison, Wisconsin. She creates sculptural books and mixed-media works that explore memory, nature, and transformation.

Her work often incorporates repurposed materials such as grocery bags, “treasures” from nature, including milkweed pods, acorns, and leaves, reflecting her interest in sustainability and everyday beauty.

She began making artist books after many years of exploring paper arts, and continues to find inspiration in the intersection of craft and storytelling.
